I’m the proud Owner of 3 Inogen units, the base home unit, the G2 and the G4. I need oxygen 24/7 so use the base unit at home, the lightweight G4 when I’m out running errands and the G2 I suspend from the rack on my recumbent tricycle for my exercising regimen.

I'm the proud Owner of 3 Inogen units, the base home unit, the G2 and the G4. I need oxygen 24/7 so use the base unit at home, the lightweight G4 when I'm out running errands and the G2 I suspend from the rack on my recumbent tricycle for my exercising regimen. This allows me the freedom to keep up my health and get fresh air. I get great service from Inogen's local rep, Sandy Gypp. Satisfied with it all.

    W. Nelson - An Inogen Patient
When I was diagnosed with heart failure and copd, I was devastated. The Medicare program gave me a portable concentrator that is a joke at best. It looks like a small suitcase on wheels and weighs 16 lbs. with a four hour battery. That was hardly enough air time to fly from O'Hare to LAX. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where we have nine months of winter and three months of bad sledding;-). My dream at the time was to visit relatives in California. No way was I going to try travelling with that hideous monstrosity of Medicare's. So, I bit the bullet and bought the Inogen G3. When it arrived I went into my happy dance. Here was a five lb. machine with an eight hour battery. A nice carrying case with shoulder strap and an electric cord for recharging. I hopped on an airplane with no hassles and made it to the land of sunshine. There I am in the photo enjoying an ice cold Gin & Tonic. I have had the G3 concentrator for three years. I had one situation where the G3 was making strange noises. I called Inogen on a Monday and Wednesday morning the FedX man was at my door with a new replacement. I have had no problems since. I did buy the back pack which is outstanding and an extra power cord so if I am somewhere over the battery's limit. I keep it in the car. Bottom line.....The Inogen is worth every penny. I am in no way a representative of Inogen but I will give credit when credit is due.

  • After a complete respitory failure in Jan 2017, I was placed in a medically induced coma and air lifted to UCSF.

After a complete respitory failure in Jan 2017, I was placed in a medically induced coma and air lifted to UCSF. I was on a breathing machine for 4 days. After waking up, it was quite apparent to me that my life had changed so quickly. Walking just steps was hard to do, let alone walk any distance without oxygen. After a week and a half I was transported home. My insurance co. provided an in-house oxygen concentrator with TWO four hour tanks that I could re-fill off the machine. I suddenly realized that going any where over night or for a weekend or longer was out. The machine was to bulky nor could I easily lift it into my car for transport. It also hit me like a ton of bricks that things I like to do were no longer available to me due to the constraints of dragging around an oxygen tank and it last just about 4 hours on a 2 liter setting. No walks on the beach as I love beach combing. No more walking up and down mountain streams for either trout fishing or heading to a favorite creek for gold panning. You just can't pull these tanks around in that kind of environment. I was mentally sad, down you might say. My life changed in seconds after my attack in Jan.2017. I would have to give up the things I love, to include traveling. I was not able to haul this big oxygen concentrator up and down stairs of motels/hotels or even go camping. That was until I discovered Inogen. It was like a message from the heavens. Could this be true? A 2.8 lb P.O.C. designed for 24/7 use. That would mean travel was again possible over night or longer, stream fishing was again back in my life. In essence, I could go back to doing what I loved to do. This small oxygen concentrator might just be the ticket to freedom once again. I spent about a month researching various devices, reading testimonials and concluded the Inogen ONE G4 would be my bail bond for freedom. I ordered one, with the 4 hour battery and one smaller battery to switch out. It came with a plug-in wall charger for home, a car charger, four soft cannulas, quick setup manual, carry case to carry this light weight unit over your shoulder and most importantly to me, I could travel. No need to lug around big oxygen tanks. Simply plug into a standard wall plug and there you go. It charges the battery at the same time, delivering oxygen on demand. OK, the trip went well. Next, my wife and I decided to fly to Oregon to see our son, daughter-in-law and our young grand children. I printed off the form from the airline we had flight tickets for and took it to my pulmonologist for him to fill out and sign. When we got to the airport, handed the form to the lady at the ticket counter. She double checked to make sure it was FAA approved. It was. I was handed a tag for use in the aircraft cabin. No hassles, no nothing. Went smooth. Best of all, I was not dragging around tanks any longer. This little, but powerful oxygen concentrator has allowed me the freedom I was used to. The other important factor was when I called for information and finally placing an order, absolutely no high pressure sales. The representative assigned to me followed up, calling with a tracking number. Once the unit arrived, I called her per her instructions and she guided me thru the simple set-up of the machine. All in all, a pleasant experience from start to finish. Thank you Inogen. You gave me my life back.

After my Dr. prescribed the use of Oxygen during exercise I thought my days of playing USTA tennis and Pickle ball were over, that was until I discovered the Inogen one G4.   The light weight and long battery life allowed me to continue playing with a winning record in the USTA men's over 40 doubles and reaching the playoffs in the men's over 70  doubles for the San Francisco Bay Area championship. Putting vanity aside and using the Inogen G4 allows me to enjoy the fun things life has to offer.

Me and my husband will be taking our first trip to California this March. We're going to Disneyland! We're celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary a few months early because of hubby's vacation time he's got saved up. We both have never been to California before. We plan on seeing Disneyland, Downtown Disney, Legoland, LA or San diego zoo, maybe a tour or two of LA. I wanna see the ocean. I've never seen an ocean before. I hope to see my favorite band Faultlines in concert. I will be traveling with my portable oxygen machine Inogen One which i love! The last time i went to a Disney park was in 2010. I've been to Disney World 4 times but never Disneyland. I will be bringing my wheel chair which i didn't have my own one in 2010. I'm so glad i have one that i can use. This way we don't have to worry about renting one. When i went to Epcot in 2010 i thought i could walk the whole park without a wheel chair but by the time i got halfway around 'world showcase' i was exhausted completely so we just left. Now that i'll have a wheel chair i can see more of the Disney park and not have to worry about my lungs tiring me out. This will be my 3rd time ever on a plane. I'm so excited about this trip with my husband. It will be our longest vacation together. I love my Inogen one. Before i had my Inogen one i had a large oxygen concentrator which was so heavy to transport. It was so large in my bedroom it took up space like it was a piece of furniture. Actually during a move to a different apartment one of the wheels broke off which made it even harder to transport. I had the green tanks that i would have to fill if i wanted to take the oxygen with me which was ice cold to the touch and super heavy and would leak. Inogen one though is super transportable and convenient. I'm so grateful Inogen one was created. Now i can use my oxygen if i want to go out in the winter time if my lungs aren't doing well and i don't have to carry around a heavy cold tank.

I am an aerialist, but when I became dependent on supplemental oxygen, it became difficult to maintain an active lifestyle and to continue my work. Tanks were heavy, awkward, and were a hassle to bring everywhere. When I didn't know how long I would be out of the house, I would have to take sometimes four 2 liter tanks with me just to be sure that I would have enough to last me my whole journey. These heavy tanks that weigh nearly 10 lb each made it difficult for me to climb aerial silks and perform, but now I have my Inogen one G3 concentrator which I can strap to my back via my backpack and (hypothetically) play in the fabric for hours on just one battery. Getting the Inogen poc has allowed me to keep doing what I love.
