Inogen is committed to optimizing patient access to its market-leading oxygen concentrators and ensuring a seamless patient transition experience. As part of the transaction, existing Inogen insurance/rental patients can either choose their preferred DME supplier and notify Inogen, or have their records transferred to Rotech Healthcare. Our customer care team will be standing by to help facilitate a smooth transition process.

How will this support my experience with prescribers moving forward?

Physicians will still have the ability to prescribe and request Inogen devices by name. Patients will continue to have the choice to purchase directly through Inogen’s direct-to-consumer channel or work with the DME provider of their choice if they’d like to utilize their insurance.  

How does this affect how I prescribe Inogen products to new supplemental oxygen users?

How does this impact my patients who are currently using Inogen oxygen?                             

There will be no change for existing Inogen oxygen concentrator users until the divestiture closes which we anticipate with happen in the fourth quarter this year. After the transaction closes, for all of the patients that do not select another provider, we will transition the assets and records to Rotech Healthcare and Rotech will assume responsibility for servicing the transferred patient population.

How will this impact my DME relationships when I prescribe Inogen products going forward?

For oxygen concentrator systems, patients can make a cash purchase directly from Inogen through our direct-to-consumer channel.

Inogen will continue our commitment to patients by providing direct payment and financing options for devices and accessories.

If I obtained my Inogen concentrator via insurance, who will service my device?

As part of the exit from the oxygen DME business, Inogen will no longer provide oxygen therapy equipment or supplies through insurance rental arrangements, including Medicare. If you obtained your device through an insurance rental agreement, Inogen will provide service on rental devices until your agreement is transferred to Rotech or the DME of your choice, which you will be receiving updates on from the provider. Inogen will continue to service devices that users purchased directly.

Will my insurance coverage be affected?
